Pete was no stranger to yard sales and thrift stores and was always looking for treasures. In Pete’s free time, he enjoyed meeting friends at McDonalds and this is where he met his girlfriend, Brenda Rowland. His true calling was working with and training horse. He worked at Marion Cemetery for more than 15 years as a ground’s man and also worked at Ohio Grain in Marysville. Pete grew up in Ohio and enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sisters. Pete was born in Springfield, Ohio to the late Clyde and Maxine (Harsh) Black. Paul Keith “Pete” Black, age 71, of Marion died Tuesday, at Marion General Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting Marion, Ohio Donations may be made in Pete’s honor to Snyder Funeral Homes of Marion. Visitation will be held at Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder/Hall Chapel, 347 W Center St., Marion on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 5-7 PM. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Black and daughter, Wendy Black. Pete will be missed by his children, Paul Keith ‘Petey’ (Michelle) Black II, Bryce (April) Blanton, and Brent (Valarie) Blanton grandchildren, Brody, Rock, Brily, and Bonnie Blanton, Christopher and Trey Black, Erin Thomas, Dustin Simones, and Baily and Blaine Blanton several great-grandchildren siblings, Ed Bibler, Jackie Bradley, Jenny (Phill) Barker, Rodney (Kim) Bibler, Roger (Darlene) Bibler, Jari Brown, Roy (Linda) Barnhart, and John (Donyelle) Gibson and numerous nieces and nephews.
